Micheline Marie Jeanne Elder

Micheline Marie Jeanne Elder, 90, of Rogers, Arkansas received her angel wings at 3:15 pm on August 10, 2016. She was born on May 9, 1926 in Juilly, France to Arthur and Argentine Carlier. She met her husband, Harold Elder, a soldier from the United States stationed there during WWII. They fell in love and were married, August 25, 1945, in France. She arrived in America a year later with other War Brides. She did not become a US citizen until 1972, after having five children and finally feeling confident enough to pass her US History test. Micheline loved shopping, especially at Walmart, where Harold was also a greeter. She was a people person and loved swapping stories. She is proceeded in death by her husband, Harold; her parents and two brothers. Micheline is survived by her children the five "J's", Jackie and her husband, David, Judy, Jeanie, Jeff and his wife, Jennifer and Joe; 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Chapel in Rogers with Pastor Larry Lovvorn officiating. Burial will follow at St. Vincent Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Circle of Life Legacy Village in Bentonville, Ark.
