John Preston Scott

John Preston Scott, 95, of Rogers passed away August 7, 2016 in Springdale. He was born January 20, 1921 in Brightwater, Arkansas the son of George and Nellie Jane Deason Scott. He was an Iron Worker and served in the United States Army during WWII. He was also a member of the Monte Ne Baptist Church in Rogers. He is preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia Ventimiglia; three brothers, H.K. Scott, Sherman Scott and Bruce Scott; one sister, Gladys Gynelle Woods. He is survived by his wife, Marie Rawlings Scott of the home; three sons, John, George and Robert Scott; two daughters, Gynelle Walker and Nancy Horchler; one brother, Floyd Scott; seven grandchildren, Michael Ventimiglia, Paul Horchler, Justin Horchler, Lynne Weaver, Meagan Weston, Natalie Bowman and husband Dustin and John Robert Scott and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services 10 a.m. Friday; August 12, 2016 at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th, Rogers with Pastor Mack Mills officiating.
