Charlotte Kay Tipton

Charlotte Kay Tipton, 79, of Greenland, Ark., died Saturday, Aug. 6, 2016, after a long struggle with cancer. She was born Jan. 1, 1937 in Berlin, Germany, daughter of Walther and Klara Winkler. She was retired after working many years at American Air Filter in Fayetteville, Ark. She loved to travel and spending time with her children and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd P. Tipton and her parents. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Tipton Phillips and Angela Tipton. Funeral services will be Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016, 10 a.m., at Beard's Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville, with entombment in Fairview Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, Aug. 8, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. at Beard's Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, 945 S. College Ave., Fayetteville, Ark. 72701.
