Fred Davis

Fred Davis, age 76, of Springdale, Arkansas, died April 26, 2016, in Springdale. He was born September 6, 1939, in Dewitt, Arkansas, the son of the late Frank M. and Marie White Davis. He was a retired heavy equipment operator from the Washington County Road Department and had served in the United States Army. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lois Laughlin Davis, of the home; one son, Gary Davis, and his wife Shirley, of Springdale, Arkansas; one daughter, Karen Eldridge, and her husband, Kevin, of Hindsville, Arkansas; one brother, Charles E. Davis, of Bethel Heights, Arkansas; three sisters: Marjorie Hess and Freda Durham both of Wynne, Arkansas, and Ruth Woods of Colt, Arkansas; seven grandchildren and a great-grandson to be born in June. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., on Friday, April 29, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Avenue, Springdale, Arkansas, with Brother Larry Branum officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, April 28, 2016, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home.
