Jimmie Garland Watson, 82, of Springdale, Arkansas passed away Monday, April 18, 2016 at the Northwest Medical Center in Springdale, Arkansas. Jimmie was born on November 24, 1933 in Nail, Arkansas, a son of William F. and Berslie Mae (Thompson) Watson. He was a member of the Gospel Tabernacle in Bethel Heights and retired after 35 years as an Ammonia Refrigeration Tech for George's Inc. Jimmie loved his children and he loved the Lord. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Claudetta "Pat" Watson of the home; six children, Marolyn Evans and husband Cheyenne of Hindsville, Arkansas, Richard Leon Watson of Springdale, Arkansas, Debby Marsh and husband Don of Huntsville, Arkansas, Gary Dean Watson of Springdale, Arkansas, James Allen Watson and wife Connie of Springdale, Arkansas and Karen Ames of Huntsville, Arkansas; one brother, Ray Watson and wife Sharon of Washington; 12 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; seven siblings, Ruth King, Voila Garrison, Paul Faught, Teddy Faught, Ottis Harris, George Watson and Bill Watson. Visitation will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home on Thursday, April 21, 2016 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Chapel on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 10 a.m. Pastor Bobby Main and Bro.
