Berdena K. Brewer

Berdena K. Brewer, 97, of Bella Vista, Ark. passed away Monday, April 18, 2016. She was born December 17, 1918 in Newkirk, Okla., and was the daughter of Henry Joe Backhaus and Nora Retting Backhaus. She later moved to Rogers, AR and married her sweetheart, Charley George Brewer Sr. Berdena was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church and enjoy being at home and caring for her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Charley in 1995; one daughter, Kathleen Brewer-York in 2015 and her parents. Berdena is survived by her son, Charley Brewer Jr. and wife, Veryla of Bella Vista, Ark.; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a niece, Karen Sage of Rogers, Ark. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 22, 2016 at Benton County Memorial Park with the Rev. Rex Dickey officiating.
