Joe Charles Rice

Joe Charles Rice, 65, a former second generation jeweler and owner of Rice Jewelers in Rogers, died Saturday, April 16, 2016. Joe was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma, August 19, 1950 to Cecil Carmen and Katheryn Alice Rice. He was preceded in death by both parents and a brother. Left to cherish Joe's memories are his wife of 44 years, Glenda Lynn Rice; his daughter, Mandy Kay Haley and husband Nathan of Bella Vista; a younger sister, Carmen Houk and husband Steve of Rogers; and his most precious gift–granddaughter, Katelyn Elizabeth Haley of Bella Vista. Our family would like to thank Dalton at Bentonville Clipper for all his kindnesses in taking Joe to the hospital and to all the doctors and nurses at Northwest Medical Center for the compassionate care they showed to our husband, father and grandfather. A Celebration of Life service will be held Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Bella Vista Community Church, 75 East Lancashire Blvd, Bella Vista, Ark. 72714. Pastor Anna Teel will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bella Vista Community Church or Bella Vista Animal Shelter. Arrangements are under the direction of Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory.
