Bonnie Maxine Elderton, age 80, of Springdale, Arkansas, died April 4, 2016 in Springdale. She was born February 19, 1936, in Mayfield, Arkansas, the daughter of Elisha Lane and Vivian Johnston Cloer. She was a retired sales clerk from Dillards Department Store and a member of the Evergreen Church of Christ. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and gardening and loved her grandchildren and her church. She is survived by one son, Samuel Elderton and his wife, Paige, of Springdale; two daughters: Peggy Finch of Springdale and Tammy Gideon and her husband, David, of Lowell; one sister, Danna Bell, of Hindsville; five grandchildren: Hannah Mantooth, Daniel Finch, Aaron Finch, Eli Elderton, and Sallie Elderton; and one great grandchild, Myles Finch. Funeral service will be Friday, April 8, 2016, at 10 a.m. at Evergreen Church of Chirst with Charles Bell officiating under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Avenue, Springdale 72762. Interment will follow in Joyce Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Daniel Finch, Aaron Finch, Colin Mantooth, David Gideon, Lonnie Billington, and Ernie Smith. Honorary Pallbearers will be Eli Elderton, Kevin Goss, Tom Reed, Chris Bell, Chuck Bell and Craig Bell. Visitation will be Thursday, April 7, 2016 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home.
