Kalven Lloyd Hill

Kalven Lloyd Hill, 58, son of Kenneth Lloyd and Mima Louise (Truman) Hill, died suddenly at his home on Saturday, March 26, 2016, in Rogers, Ark. He was born in Leon, Iowa, on June 21, 1957. Kalven was one of six children. His mother, Louise Hill, of Rogers, Ark. and his siblings, Patty and Bob Webster, Joyce Still, Kathleen and Joel Reeves, and Linda and Jim Mullen, all of Rogers, and Kenneth and Judy Hill of Hemet, Calif., survive him. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Hill in 2013, and two nephews. Kalven was also loved by several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Kalven was baptized into the Brethren Church. He recently accepted Christ as his Savior. He went to Clarke and Central Decatur Community Schools in Iowa. He loved taking care of his mother. Kalven loved his sports, but especially the Iowa Hawkeyes and Arkansas Razorbacks. He also enjoyed working on the farm with the animals. Uncle "Kal" loved to spend time with his nieces and nephews, and he really enjoyed the times he spent with his friends. He always wanted to lend a helping hand. Kalven was employed by United Industries for several years. The family would like to extend thanks to the Don Ferm family of United Industries for being so good to him. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Thursday, March 31, 2016, at the Slade–O'Donnell Funeral Home in Leon, Iowa. Burial in the Leon Cemetery, Leon, Iowa. A memorial fund has been established by the Family.
