Harry Gene (Chigger) Christen, 88, of Lowell, Arkansas passed from this life on March 30, 2016 at Washington Regional Hospital in Fayetteville. He was born May 28, 1927 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Harry Ernest and Allie (Phillips) Christen. Harry was a member of First Baptist Lowell. He was a World War II veteran with the U.S. Navy. He retired after 32 years with Entergy (AP&L). He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Maulsia O'Neal and Ernestine Taylor. Harry is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carolyn Christen and two daughters, Rebecca McChristian (Jimmy) of Rogers, Arkansas and Kathryn Scott (Dennis) of Bolton, Massachusetts, and one grandson, Ian James McChristian of Rogers, Arkansas. Friends and family are welcome to join the Christen family at their home Friday evening from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. There will be a graveside service at the Guenther Presley Cemetery at West Pinnacle Road, Roland, Arkansas at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 2nd. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dixie Jackson Offering, Arkansas Baptist State Convention, 10 Remington Drive, Little Rock, Arkansas 72204.
