Jeffrey Scott Finley

Jeffrey Scott Finley went to be with our Lord on Sept. 3, 2015, surrounded by his loving family and friends at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Ark. Scott was born Nov. 10, 1962 in Amarillo, Texas to Buddy Finley and Gloria Finley-Peterson. He accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior and followed Him in Baptism. He attended College Heights Christian Church in Joplin, Mo. Preceded in death by his father, Buddy Finley. He is survived by his loving wife, Denise Finley, daughter, Debra Finley and her mother, Gwen Finley, mother, Gloria Peterson, brother, Marty Finley, sister, Mindy Jorgensen, nephews, Nick Stransky, Forrest Jorgensen, and William Glatt, and step-son, Nick Blumenthal. Scott was blessed with many family and friends that have been true and faithful, including Randall and Rozella Duncan, Kathy and Keith Lipert, Deb and Brian Hawkinson, Butch and Charlene Finley, Shelia Cooley, Mindy Payne, Marcy Jones, Misty Foutch, Beth Sabata, Lu Roddy, Kern and Eden Watkins, Pat Forste, Bill and Violet Piercy, Jim and Earlene Jarvis. Brothers from other mothers Neil Singleton, TJ Thomas, Ronnie Jarvis, and Jimmy Jarvis. He graduated from Gravette High School in 1982, where he was a beloved football player and team captain. He loved restoring and working on older trucks during his teen and early adult years. Scott graduated from Oklahoma State Tech in Okmulgee, Okla. where he received his Diesel Mechanics degree in 1984. He worked for over 30 years in the Heavy Equipment Industry. Scott was a loving husband, devoted father, dedicated son and brother, and loyal friend. He enjoyed spending time with his daughter, Debra, and his deep love and care for her was unwavering and ever present. Scott always had time for his family and friends; he was well known for his compassion, kindness, and giving heart. Scott's love for motorcycles started at the age of eleven and continued to grow throughout his life. He was actively involved in biker education as a certified Rider's Edge Safety Instructor. He also cherished long bike rides, taking many road trips throughout the US and Canada on his Harley. The family would like to thank everyone at The Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville for their loving care of Scott, and their kindness and support. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, September 26th at 3 p.m. at Blowing Springs Park, 948 Blowing Springs Road, Bella Vista, Ark., 72714. In honor of Scott's request, please feel free to dress casual, jeans, and/or motorcycle attire.
