Lorene June Toms

Lorene June Toms, a resident of Fayetteville, Arkansas, was born February 4, 1926 in Metalton, Arkansas, a daughter Mace and Bessie June (Pennington) Middleton. She departed this life Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at the age of 89 years. Lorene worked at the Berryville City Water Department as the Municipal Clerk for many years and at the University of Arkansas Post Office. She was of the Methodist Faith. Her hobbies were painting, drawing, cooking, dancing, & she loved music. She is survived by three children, Roger Toms of Springdale, Ark.; Marvey Toms of Fayetteville, Ark.; Barbara O'Neal of Fayetteville, Ark.; five grandchildren, two great children, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. On October 19, 1946 she was united in marriage with Marvin Lee Toms who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Mace and Bessie Middleton, three sisters, Rita, Shirley, & Ginger. There will be no visitation. Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Saturday, September 12, 2015 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel with Pastor C.H. Doss officiating. Interment will follow at the Berryville Memorial park Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
