Jerry B. Dossey, 67, of Bella Vista, Arkansas died suddenly September 6, 2015. He was born in Lawton, OK to Mildred L. and Clifford C. Dossey, May 30, 1948. Jerry graduated from the University of Arkansas with a B.A. degree in Business Administration in May 1970 and graduated from University of Arkansas law school in May 1974. He was admitted to the Arkansas Bar in September 1974. He served: as a Special Associate Justice in the Arkansas Supreme Court in 1983; Board of Directors for the Bentonville Chamber of Commerce; Chairman of the Bentonville United Way, Chairman of Bentonville Park and Recreation Commission; established the "Little Tigers" football program in 1975; was president, vice president, and secretary of the Benton County Bar Association; board member of the Arkansas Athlete's Outreach; board member of the Benton County Youth Services Bureau; board of Tiger Booster Club; Bentonville City Attorney from 1978 to 1979; Chairperson of the Bentonville Planning Commission; and on the board of Senior Citizens Center, Inc. Jerry attended the University of Arkansas on a football scholarship from 1966 to 1969. As a football player he received All State, Oklahoma 1965; All Southwest Conference 1969; Associated Press All American 1969 and Razorback All Decade team in the 1960's. He practiced law in Bentonville, Arkansas for 41 years. Preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Linda Joy Dossey, of the home; five children, Heather (Jason) Ament, Ryan H. Dossey, Alex B. Dossey, Jason Bennett, and Brad Rooney; and five grandchildren. Per Jerry's request no memorial service will be held. Jerry requested "friends to individually reflect on our relationships in their own way – hopefully the funny or happy times".
