Emily Tortorello

Emily Tortorello, 90, of Fayetteville, died Sunday, September 6, 2015 at her home. She was born May 24, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois to James and Adelina (Landi) Lullo. Emily enjoyed cooking and baking, and New Orleans jazz music. She loved to play with her grandchildren and enjoy life with family and friends. She married Charles "Junior" Tortorello on May 4, 1943 in Iowa. He preceded her in death in 2008. She is also preceded by her son, Joseph Michael Tortorello, and step-father, Alexander Russo. She is survived by three children, Betty Rowe and husband Henry of Fayetteville, Charles J. Tortorello and wife Lisa of Chicago, Charlene Lopshire and husband Douglas of Fayetteville; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, September 12, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fayetteville. Interment will be 10 a.m. Monday, September 14, at Fayetteville National Cemetery.
