Harold Eugene "Gene" Britt

Harold Eugene "Gene" Britt, 65, of West Fork, died Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville. He was born November 12, 1949 in Steele, Missouri to Jack and Nola (Maxwell) Britt. Gene served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was of the Pentecostal faith, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a BIG TIME FAMILY MAN. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Wayne Britt, Jackie Britt, Melvin Britt, Doyle Britt; and two sisters, Mary Hardesty and Elizabeth Hall. He is survived by his wife, Gwen (Faught) Britt whom he married February 18, 1977 in Tyler, Mo.; one daughter, Karrie Harderson and husband Josh; one son, Phillip Britt and wife Mindy all of West Fork; four brothers, Raymond Britt and wife Marilyn of Manila, Ark., Kenneth Britt and wife Darlene of Caruthersville, Mo., Clifford Britt and wife Lavelle of Steele, Mo., Wendell Britt and wife Betty of Chicago, Ill.; and five grandchildren, Laney Harderson, Triston Harderson, Breanna Britt, Brandon Britt and Kellie Faught. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m. Wednesday, September 9, at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, online guest book at www.heritageofnwa.com.
