Wendell Ray Stevens, 64, of Fayetteville passed away on Sept. 4, 2015 in Fayetteville, Ark. He was born July 12, 1951 in Rogers, Ark. to Lorene and Chester Stevens. He graduated from Farmington High School. He retired from Mclinton Anchor after 30 years of employment and after retirement he was self-employed for many years prior to his passing. He was an avid fisherman, loved golfing, hunting and playing cards with all his buddies. He loved to travel and see all parts of the world. He was loved by many and knew no stranger. He is survived by his spouse, Patricia Stevens; daughter, Tammy Cross and husband Kendall; his grandson Hunter Cross; his mother, Lorene Stevens of Farmington, Ark.; two sisters, Reba Lee of Hot Springs, Ark. and Jean Anna Sellers of Kansas; and brother Wesley Stevens of Farmington, Ark. He was preceded in death by his father, Chester Stevens; his brother, Wayne Stevens and his son, Bradley Stevens. The family wishes to acknowledge its deep appreciation to the many visitors and expressions of love, concern and kindness shown to them during the last few months. We would also like to give a special thanks to Tommy, for spending so much time fishing and just being there for Wendell during the last couple of years.
