Kenneth E. Parsley

Kenneth E. Parsley, age 85, of Fayetteville, died Tuesday, October 27, 2015 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born June 18, 1930 in Patrick, Arkansas, the son of C.C. and Arta Lee Mills Parsley. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Margie Ann Parsley, three sisters and four brothers. He was a retired maintenance supervisor for the Campbell Soup Company. He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a member of Sulphur City Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He spent his days taking care of his farm and was known to need "diesel therapy." He and Hazel enjoyed bluegrass music and would attend Brentwood regularly. He was a man who had many words of wisdom for all. He loved his family and especially enjoyed spoiling his great-grandkids with milk and cookies. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Hazel Parsley; a son, Mike Parsley & his wife Michelle of Fayetteville; a daughter, Donna Parsley Lukas & her husband Mark of Fayetteville; two brothers, Dale Parsley and Carl Parsley, both of Fayetteville; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 5 p.m. – 7 p.m., Friday, October 30, 2015 at Moore's Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday at Sulphur City Baptist Church followed by burial at Patrick Cemetery, under the direction of Moore's Chapel.
