Mary Louise Carter

Mary Louise Cowan Carter, age 88, of Elkins, entered eternal rest Tuesday, October 27, 2015. She was surrounded by family at the Willard Walker Hospice House in Fayetteville. Born October 4, 1927 in Savoy, Arkansas to Russell and Ruth Bonnell Cowan, she was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 62 years, James K. Carter; and her sister Bonnie Skrapka. She is survived by her daughters, Marilyn Sue Carter and Mary Jo Carter and husband Wally Martinez all of Elkins; one sister Jean Castoe of Davis, Oklahoma; two grandchildren Kenneth Martinez and Anna Crow; five great-grandchildren; numerous loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday, October 29 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville.
