Lila grew up in Siloam Springs. At 16, she went to Washington D.C., to work for the FBI, returning to NWA to marry Bob (in 1944) and begin their family. Our mother worked diligently alongside Dad on their farm east of Springdale. Early on, they grew grapes for Welch's. Vegetables, fruits, and flowers flourished under her attentive care. With the children in school, she worked for Baldwin Piano and in the office of Springdale Farms (now George's). She loved to travel most anywhere, visiting Europe and many states including Hawaii; her special place was any beach. Upon Bob's retirement from JTL, they enjoyed RVing, spending winters in Texas and Florida. Fellowship Bible Church of Springdale was Mom's church home/family. The family is grateful for the tender loving care she received in her final years at both Homestyle Assisted Living and Shiloh Nursing and Rehab. Visitation Tuesday, October 27, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Fellowship Bible Church, 2000 West Emma, Springdale. Service Wednesday, 10 a.m. also at Fellowship Bible Church, with burial following at Benton County Memorial Gardens, Rogers.
