Walter Harley Shearer, 79, of Bella Vista, Arkansas died Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Arkansas. He was born, the youngest of 10 children, in Yellville, Arkansas on April 10, 1936 to Walter Harrison and Celia (Still) Shearer. He was a US Army veteran. He loved fishing, golfing and woodworking. He was an avid sports fan, especially local high school and college teams, the Razorbacks. He owned and operated Commercial Ceramics Inc. for over 20 years. He was a spiritual person and loved reading the Bible. Preceded in death by his first wife of 52 years, Sharon Rose Shearer, one grandson, Brad Undiano and a step-son, John Cataldo Jr. He is survived by his wife, Betty Shearer of Bella Vista, Ark.; three daughters, Debbie Baker (Tom) of Springdale, Ark., Renae Curtis (Dennis) of Mesa, Ariz., Darla Lucerne (Robert) of Marana, Ariz.; nephew, Tim (Hazel) Shearer; 25 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 26, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Highlands Christian Church, Disciples of Christ. Burial will be in the Bella Vista Cemetery. Pastor Paul Seal will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church, Circle of Life Hospice or Operation Reboot.
