Marjorie L. "Marge" Sabata quietly went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 15th, 2015 after a courageous 3 1/2 year battle with multiple myeloma cancer. She was born in Grand Rapids, Minn. on November 4, 1950 and grew up on a farm near Hill City, Minn. She was the 5th of 15 children born to Raymond and Norma Jean Valley, and has cherished her strong ties with her siblings and extended family members. She moved to Minneapolis to attend college and begin her sales career working for Continental Air and Honeywell. Moving to Northwest Arkansas in 1991 she worked in Bella Vista and Bentonville for Arvest Bank as a retail supervisor, and later worked for Northwest Escrow and Signature Bank. Marge was united in marriage to Rob Sabata December 9th, 2006. Traveling, attending concerts, enjoying the Arkansas outdoors and their dog Bullet were passions that kept life full of excitement. Marge became quite the sports fan, and always had her daily crossword puzzles and magazines for relaxation. She was very involved in community service including the Bella Vista Animal Shelter, Literary Council, Lifeline, Chamber of Commerce and was a University of Arkansas Track & Field Official. Marge had a special ability to connect with those around her. Throughout her battle with cancer, she kept a remarkable positive outlook and unwavering faith that was a true reflection of her strong character. She was preceded by her parents and one sister Pauline. Survivors include her husband Rob; sisters, Janice, Virginia, Vicky, Kathi and Deb; brothers, Tony, Larry, Steve, Ken, Jim, Richard, Mike and Dennis; many nieces and nephews; and a multitude of friends. A memorial service will be held on Monday October 26th at 2 p.m. at the Bella Vista Christian Church, 103 Riorden Road 72715. Marge designated the Bella Vista Animal Shelter and the Bella Vista Christian for gifts in her memory.
