Harlod H Ferguson

Harold H. Ferguson of Rogers, Arkansas, died October 19, 2015 at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville. He was born on a farm near Windsor, Missouri, January 6, 1926, to Harman and Mildred Dundas Ferguson. After attending Windsor public schools he went into the U.S. Navy in 1944, serving oversees in the Philippines. Later, in 1951, he was recalled for service during the Korean conflict. He taught history in Windsor, Warrenton and Webster Groves public schools of Missouri for 26 years. Also, he and his wife had businesses in Mountain Home and Springdale, Arkansas. He married Shirley Schowe in Warrenton, Missouri at Friedens Evangelical and Reformed Church. To this union were born four daughters: Teresa Morrison (Ed), Gail Blech (Larry), Sheryl Ferguson (John Doane), and Roberta Jones. They survive him as well as nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Also, one sister, Virginia Helphrey of Centralia, Missouri. Shirley preceded him in death in 2010, as did his brother, Gene, in 2009. He did volunteer work for thrift stores in Rogers, benefiting those in need. His cremains will be interred next to his wife at Rogers City Cemetery on Friday, October 23, 2015 at 2 p.m. Honors provided by the Northwest Arkansas Honor Guard.
