Leland S. Stanley

Leland Stanley, 79, of Bella Vista died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. He was born May 8, 1936 in Eagleville, Mo. the son of Elsie May Heide and Hosea Lee Stanley. Prior to enlisting in the United States Air Force, Leland worked for the Lamoni Chronicle newspaper for 12 years, where he was known as Leland "The Printer" Stanley. He also worked for the Jackson County Parks and Recreation for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents. Leland is survived by his wife; Beverly J. Stanley, one brother; Gerald Stanley and his wife Paula, of Missouri, four sisters; Janice Sterling of Oregon, Madelyn Edwards of Arizona, Carol McCans of Arizona, Diane Literatore of Indiana. A Celebration of Life will be held at First United Methodist Church in Bella Vista on Friday, October 23rd at 11 a.m. Arrangements by Epting Funeral Home of Bella Vista.
