Justin Michael Blickenderfer, age 30, of Bentonville, died Oct. 14, 2015, at the University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City after a very brief illness. He was born in Mason City, Iowa, on Feb. 26, 1985. Justin graduated high school in Gretna, Neb., and later served as a volunteer firefighter and EMT at Boystown in Omaha, Neb., before moving to Rogers and attending fire academy. He was a Firefighter/EMT for the Rogers Fire Department, Station 5, B Platoon, where he was on the Elite Special Operations Team and was recently named to the Department's Honor Guard. He is survived by his parents, Ann and Harold Mann of Gretna, Neb.; fiancée Stephanie Kirk-Parker, and her children Madison and Riley of Bentonville; sister, Brandi Rowland and husband Brian of Lincoln, Neb., and their children Kailee and Kyle; father, Mike Blickenderfer and wife Jeanene of Nora Springs, Iowa; half-brother, Blake Blickenderfer of Nora Springs, Iowa; step-siblings, Kelly and Steven Littleton; grandparents, Barbara & Roger McQuitty, Cathie & Eldon Randall; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, and his brother and sister Firefighters and EMTs with the Rogers Fire Department. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015, at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, officiated by Rev. Monsignor David LeSieur. Burial will follow in Pinnacle Memorial Gardens. Donations, in lieu of flowers, should be made at any Arvest Bank in Justin's memory. Arrangements are under the care of Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers.
