Betty Lorene Cash, 82, Springdale, passed from this life on October 14, 2015. She was born September 23, 1933 in Kansas City, Kansas to Bill and Bethel Mae Hutchins Endicott. Betty is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Ramah Gwartney. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 62 years, Jim G. Cash; a daughter, Bethel Gayle Hern and her husband Larry of Summers; a son, Jim Cash, Jr. and his wife, Kim of Fort Smith, Ark.; two sisters, Donna Blake of Birmingham, Ala. and Ginger Howton and her husband Ernest of Palestine, Ark.; a brother, Johnny and Lorene Endicott of Harrison, Ark.; four grandchildren and 11 great-children; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Betty was a wonderful basketball player averaging 30 points a game for St. Joe and and Eureka Springs High School. The Hazel Walker Professional basketball team invited her to join their team. She married Jim Cash on December 25, 1952. They had two children, Bethel and Jim Jr. Jim and Betty worked in the jewelry business and own Country Classic. Betty was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-mother. She was known for her biscuits and gravy and chocolate milkshakes. A Funeral Service will be 10 a.m. Monday, October 19, 2015 at Westfield Chapel Funeral Home, Springdale. Burial will follow at Bluff Cemetery.
