James (Jim) M. Wilhm passed away on Wednesday, October 7th, 2015. He was born October 27, 1948 in Ft. Lewis, Washington to Jack and Agnes Wilhm. Growing up in a military family, he lived in various locations around the U.S. and overseas. He graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Political Science in 1971, and married Debra Musick in 1972. Jim worked in retail management, the last 25 years of his career being with Walmart, before retiring in 2005. In his retirement, he most enjoyed traveling to Texas to be with his kids and grandkids; building and playing his guitars; and golfing with his best friend, where the game and the friendship were more important than the score. Survivors include his wife, Debra of Bentonville; his sons, Brandon of Austin, Texas; Ryan and his wife, Gina of Austin and their children, Jocelyn, Sawyer, and Caitlyn. His sisters, Janet Burgardt and husband, Dennis of Great Bend, Kan.; Judi Slimm and husband Chris of Overland Park, Kan.; sister-in-law, Marilyn Wilhm, Sarasota, Fla.; brother-in-law and wife Doug and Betty Musick of Salina, Kan.; and many nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his mother, father, and a brother, John. A memorial service will be held at a later date in the chapel where Jim and Deb were married and both sons were baptized.
