Donald Ray Sims, 74 of Farmington, Ark. passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015 in Fayetteville. He was born March 13, 1941 in Paris, Ark. to Thomas H. Sims and Lizzie M. (Wiggins) Sims. Mr. Sims was a retired facility manager for Tyson Foods, a member of Lincoln Baptist Church, and a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Thomas H. Sims Jr., Leon Sims, and two sisters, Gladys Davidson, and Dorothy Hilliard. He is survived by his wife Sharon K. Sims, three sons, Tom Sims and wife Melissa of Farmington, Ark., Tim Sims and wife Terri of Altus, Ark., Jim Sims and, Melisa Allison of Cypress, CA, one daughter, Jackie Sims of Lincoln, Ark., one sister, Nora Mae Parker of Paris, Ark., one brother, Morris Wayne Sims and wife Ruth Ann of Paris, Ark., sister-in-law, Wilma Sims of Centerville, Ark., six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and lifelong friends who are like family the Timothy and Angela Beers Family and Kyle and Darla Neely Family. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Thursday October 15th at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home Chapel in Fayetteville, Ark. with Pastors Randy Magar and Tim Beers officiating. Private burial services with Full Military Honors will be held at Fayetteville National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be made to the Lincoln First Baptist Church Youth Department P.O. Box 38 Lincoln, Ark. 72744.
