Billy D. Hodges, Sr.

Billy D. Hodges Sr., 91, passed away Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Washington Regional Medical Center. He was born August 31, 1924 in Savoy, Texas to Leon and Kathy McFadden Hodges. Billy served in the Army during the Korean War. He was employed for 20 years with Charlesworth Pontiac and enjoyed fishing and time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Jack Hodges, and one great-grandchild, Dakota Millsap. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Ova Hodges; six children, Billy Dan Hodges of Rogers, Frankie Upton and wife Ann, Tim Upton and wife Dixie, Betty Jo Cornelison and husband John, and Janie Ward all of Springdale, Brenda Goins and husband Dale of Hope; one brother, Jimmy Hodges of Sherman, Texas; one sister, Betty Ann Hartman of Highfill; 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 7, at Heritage Funeral Home. Interment will be at Friendship Cemetery with military honors.
