Wanda Yvonne Parrish, age 86, passed away September 30, 2015 at her home in Mountainburg. She was born October 30, 1928 the daughter of Alvin Wesley and Vernie Hazel Hawes Bishop. She was preceded in death by both parents, her husband M.C. Parrish, a brother Terry Bishop and a sister Polly Martin. She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and was a pastor's wife for 40 years. She is survived by a daughter, Patti Provence and her husband Gary of Mountainburg; two sons, Robert Parrish and his wife Judy and Randy Parrish and his wife Raye both of Winslow; one sister, Jackie Chandler of Farmington; five grandchildren Robyn DeVore, Chris Parrish, Mira Cowett, Candice Luper, and Chris Provence; 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 10 a.m. Saturday October 3, 2015 at First Assembly of God Church in Winslow, followed by a Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Brentwood Cemetery under the direction of Moore's Chapel. In lieu of flower memorials may be made to Peachtree hospice home in Fort Smith, 2910 Jenny Lind Road, Building #4, Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901.
