Clara Marie Dunn, 94, of Rogers passed away November 23, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born September 28, 1921 in Anthon, Oklahoma to the late Herman and Mary Mamie Klein Hoelker. During World War II, she supported the war effort by becoming a ‘Rosie the Riveter' in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma for Douglas Aircraft. Nearly 50 years ago, she, her husband and their children moved from Custer City, Oklahoma to Rogers to farm. Although she enjoyed working at home sewing, cooking, baking, and assisting her husband on their farm and raising their children-she loved playing cards at home with her family and western dancing with her adoring husband. She was also a member of VFW Post 3031 Ladies Auxilliary. For 71 years she was married to the love of her life, Robert ‘Bob' Dunn, who preceded her. In addition to her husband and parents she is predeceased by a son, William Robert Dunn; a daughter-in-law, Vickie Dunn; a great-grandson, Dylan Meeks; two sisters, Agnes and Esta Hoelker and by three brothers, Albert, Louis and Paul Hoelker. Survivors include her two sons, Richard and Ronnie Dunn; three daughters, Sharron (Stewart,Jr.) Stanton, Mary Ann (Marty) Akers and Pat (Rick) Stocker all of Rogers; a brother, Devert (Ernestine) Hoelker of Oklahoma; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday with the Rosary following at 7pm in the Chapel of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12 noon at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Bentonville with Interment to follow at St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery in Rogers.
