Edith Hill

Edith Hill of Spiro, Oklahoma was born April 26, 1926, in Roswell, New Mexico and passed away November 14, 2015, in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 89. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Depew, husband Clint of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; her granddaughter, Jennifer Taylor, husband Jay and children Cole and Macey; granddaughter, Jodi Conachen, husband David and children Alexis, Kellen, and Connor; her son, Pastor Robert Hill, wife Rebekah of Spiro, Oklahoma; granddaughter, Rashel Maynard, husband David and children William and Jase; granddaughter, Sarah Bridges, husband Shannon and children Olivia and Sadie; and granddaughter, Ashley Hill; her sister, Joe Ramsey of Bryan, Texas. Edith was a 1st Grade Teacher and a Reading Specialist until she retired at 75; she was also a member of Spiro First Assembly of God Church, the National Teachers' Association, and the National Reading Teachers' Association. She was preceded in death by her mother, Tisha Eudoshia (Marchbanks) Raney; her husband, Cecil V. Hill, and her daughter, Peggy Sue Hill. Funeral services will be 2pm Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at Spiro First Assembly of God Church with Pastors Robert Hill and Scott Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in the Spiro City Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Spiro. Pallbearers will be Clinton Depew, Shannon Bridges, David Maynard, Jay Taylor, David Conachen, Terry Paschall, Benny Paschall, and Jeremy Harrison.
