Luther Thomas Stuckey Jr.

Luther Thomas Stuckey Jr. 96, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas died November 12, 2015 at the Willard Walker Hospice House in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Born November 8, 1919 in Prattsville, Arkansas, he was the son of Luther Thomas Stuckey, Sr. and Nona Stuckey. He married Lovie Price in 1942, in Sheridan, Arkansas. Luther was offered a contract to join the St. Louis Cardinals baseball farm team prior to joining the military to serve his country. He served in the Army-Air Corp in Africa and Italy during World War II. Luther was a Christian, youth Sunday school teacher and member of First Baptist Church, Siloam Springs, Arkansas. He was controller for Jetstream Plastics in Siloam Springs, Arkansas From 1962 until 1979 when he retired. Luther is preceded in death by his wife, Lovie of 71 years and his sister, Lela. Survivors include one daughter, Pat Murphree and husband Tom of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, three sons, Bill Stuckey and wife Debbie of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Ken Stuckey and wife Melinda of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Joe Stuckey and wife Nimra of Bella Vista, Arkansas. He had 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. until service time at 10 a.m., Saturday November 14, 2015 at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home, with Pastor Bobby Biggers officiating. Burial will be 11 a.m. Sunday, November 15, 2015 at Philadelphia Cemetery, Prattsville, Arkansas under the direction of Nelson Berna Funeral Home. Online condolences at www.nelsonberna.com.
