Juanita Wood

Juanita Sparks Wood, 75, of Wesley went to be with the lord Thursday, November 12, 2015 at her home. She was born October 4, 1940 at Mossvile, Arkansas to Clarence and Velma Edgemon Sparks. She married Lester Wood on October 1, 1959. She was a member of Cave Mountain United Baptist Church, a homemaker who dearly loved gardening, sewing and being with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lester Wood, two brothers, Glen Sparks and Eugene Sparks, Sister Bonnie Fay Main, infant brother, one niece and one nephew. Survivors include her son, Junior Wood of Rogers; daughters, Betty Sue Wood of the home, Sheila Kaye Clark and husband Joe of Huntsville, Bonnie Staton of Huntsville, Dianna Hoffarth and husband John of Springdale and Wilma Thurston and husband Shawn of Kingston; grandchildren, Scotty Wood, Travis and Kayla Keck, Douglas and Kimberly Thurston, Trip and Shelby Timmons, TJ and Vanna Timmons, LaTasha and Lee Stinson, Kayla and Matt Combs, Jimmy and Connie Clark, Justin and Monica Staton; great-grandchildren, Gary and Alyssa Timmons and Jason Staton and Adrien, Brian and Amy Clark; brother, Dorlin and Peggy Sparks of Mossville; three sisters, Jewell Dean Sparks of Jasper, Nina Lee Rylee of Shiloh and Nadine and Loss Huber of Kingston and a host of family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, November 13, 2015 at Harmony Baptist Church. The funeral service will be held at the church on Saturday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Loren Collins officiating. Burial will be at Mount Liberty Cemetery in Wesley. Funeral Services are under the direction of Madison County Funeral Service of Huntsville. Pallbearers are Douglas Thurston, Scotty Wood, Matt Combs, Trip Timmons, Justin Staton, TJ Timmons, Spanky Woods and Jimmy Clark. Honorary Pallbearers are Phillip Sparks, Quentin Rylee, Dale Sparks, Travis Keck, Lee Stinson, Steven Sparks, Anthony Huber and Russell Morgan.
