Bonnie Allen Persing Powers of Rogers passed away Sunday, May 24th in Bentonville surrounded by her family. A life-long resident of Benton County, she was born February 9, 1926 in Beaty, Arkansas to the late James Milton Matlock and Ora (Rotrammel) Matlock. Throughout careers as both a nurse at Gravette Hospital and as a homemaker, she will always be remembered for her tender, loving care and attention to cleanliness. She enjoyed dancing and playing cards, but those had to wait until everything was spotless! She took great pride in her family. They brought her much joy in life. She was preceded in death by her 3 husbands. For 28 years she was the loving wife of the late Lloyd Allen, for 14 years she was the adoring wife of Bill Persing and she was proud to have been the wife of Roger Powers for 15 years. In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Dale Allen and her brother, Jim "Mousey" Matlock. Survivors include her two daughters, Sharon Allen Austin and her husband Ron, Debbie Copeland and her husband Steve of Rogers; five grandchildren, Seth and Calah Copeland of Rogers, Jeff Austin of Siloam Springs, Brett Austin and his wife Stephanie of North Carolina, Tina Arnold and her husband of Colcord, Oklahoma and seven great-grandchildren, Gage, Faith, Roman, Isaac, Isabel, Dillion, Billy and a host of family and friends. The Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 29th in Rollins Funeral Home Chapel with visitation proceeding at 1 p.m. and Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Gravette.
