James Jerry Brown, age 68, of Springdale, AR, passed away at the Willard Walker hospice home in Fayetteville AR on Thursday, May 21, 2015 with his family by his side. Jerry was born on January 6, 1947, in Atlanta, Ga. to Jim and Virginia Brown. He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Etheridge Stanton. He is survived by his wife, Suzie, his son, Heath and his wife, Jennifer, his daughter, Christy and her husband, Travis, his daughter, Tracy, and his son, J.T. and five precious grandchildren, Garrett, McKenzie, Avery, Tate, and Turner. He is also survived by his father, Jim Brown and his sister, Peggy Brown. He has worked in the sporting goods industry for 50 years. His colleagues were like brothers to him. He enjoyed fishing, hunting with his best buddies, family trips to the beach, and cooking for his friends and family. He was so proud of the street he lived on where his neighbors were more like family. More than anything, he enjoyed spending time with his family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to: Washington Regional Friends of Hospice c/o Washington Regional Foundation 325 Longview Dr, Fayetteville, Ark. 72703-4618. Per his wishes, instead of a funeral we will be having a celebration of life. It will take place, Monday, May 25, 2015 at 3 p.m. at Fairlane Station in Springdale. This will be a very casual event with lots of stories (we would love for people to share their favorite story) and laughs to remember a wonderful man.
