Jason Kelly Melton

Jason Kelly Melton, 38, a resident of Prairie Grove, passed away May 17, 2015 at his home. He was born August 23, 1976 at Siloam Springs. The son of Sylvan Buddy Melton and Gayla Lynn Durden Dash. Jason was a graduate of Lincoln High School and held a Bachelor Degree from Southern Illinois University. He served in the U.S. Navy as Submariner and later in the National Guard. His wittiness will be missed by his family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Ray Melton. Survivors include his wife Amanda Lynn Barnes Melton; one son Austin Michael Lyn Melton; one daughter, Gabriela Alexandria Melton; one brother David Ray Melton of Lincoln; his parents; grandparents Floyd Lyn and Berverly Durden, Don and Jean McKelvy, and Bonnie Melton. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Jason Melton Memorial fund at any Arvest Bank. Funeral service will be held Friday, May 22, 2015, 10:30 a.m. at the Luginbuel Chapel. Burial will be in the National Cemetery in Fayetteville. No graveside service will be held at the cemetery.
