Mary Lou Dana Shivers, 82, of Fayetteville died Thursday, May 7, 2015. Mary Lou was born March 14, 1933 to Robert and Kathryn Wilson Dana. She was born at home in the middle apartment of the Wilson Building in Clay Center, Kansas. She spent most of her early years with her grandparents, Joseph and Mayme Wilson. Mary Lou Dana graduated from Clay County Community High School, Class of 1951. Mary Lou and Barry Shivers were married at the St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Clay Center and lived in a variety of states until she moved to Northwest Arkansas in 1968, after her marriage to Bill Sughru. The majority of her working years was spent in business management and as a realtor until her retirement in 2005. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husbands, Barry Shivers and Bill Sughru. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Survived by her son, W. Kim Shivers and his daughter, Allegra Shivers; her son, B. Kevin Shivers and his daughter, Rachael Shivers Bull; and her husband, Braden; their three children, Basil, Carmen and Shae, all of Fayetteville; Kevin's daughter, Haley Kathryn Shivers and her friend, Stacey; one sister, Patricia Dana Heinerickson of Lauri, Missouri; and a number of nieces, nephews, special relatives and special friends, who will know who they are. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the children of either St. Paul's Church in Fayetteville or St. Paul's in Clay Center, Kansas. A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Fayetteville at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2015. A graveside service will be conducted at a later date in Clay Center, Kansas.
