Donald Ray White, age 81 of Springdale, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on May 9th in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born on September 1, 1933 in Tulsa, Oklahoma the son of Cecil and Edith White. Don made everything fun for everyone he knew with his joking ways and positive attitude. He often said that Karen was in charge of the War Department at the White House. Don was a Deacon of Astounding Grace Church in Hindsville. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Don and Karen owned and operated The Clify General Store for many years. After leaving Clifty, they built and operated several motels in Eureka Springs until retiring and moving to Springdale in 1989. Don was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and one sister. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Karen White, one daughter, Patsy Beaver of Eureka Springs, granddaughter, Casey Beaver of Springdale, grandson Wes Beaver and wife Jana, two great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Logan, all of Eureka Springs, and a host of many friends who loved and enjoyed him. A visitation will be held at Sisco Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, May 9th from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will take place at Sisco on May 12 at 2 p.m. with Butch Bolinger and Bill Williams officiating.
