Ruby Clydena Reeves, 82, a resident of Lincoln passed away May 3, 2015 at Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville. She was born August 29, 1932 in Morrow, the daughter of Elmer Arthur and Ruthie Mae Rather Whitehouse. She was married on September 29, 1950 to Doyle Bert Reeves and shared 43 years together. She was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church of Dutch Mills. She was a homemaker, devoted mother and grandmother. She helped her husband in his TV repair shop and worked for 10 years in the Lincoln School district as a cook. Her hobbies included crocheting, reading, canning, gardening and cooking, all of which her entire family benefitted from. She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Bert Reeves, three brothers, Roy Whitehouse, Floyd Dee Whitehouse and George Whitehouse and five sisters, Floy Gulley, Vera Erickson, Norah Drain, Annie Ethel McNeely and Dorothy Pearl Whitehouse. Survivors include three daughters, Peggy Brown and husband Donnie of Prairie Grove, Darlene Cheatham and husband, Jody of Morrow and Donna Danforth and husband Steve of Stuttgart, Arkansas; two sons, Doyle Reeves and wife Sheri of Alma, and Doug Reeves and wife Holly of Fayetteville; 13 grandchildren Julie McConnell and husband Josh, Gina McClellan and husband Shawn, Janae Ward and husband Ryan, Lisa Rawls and husband Caleb, Tara Abshier and husband Patrick, Brad Cheatham and wife Jennifer, Justin Danforth, Stephanie Brown and husband Ryan, Cody Reeves, Landon Reeves, Hudson Reeves, Bayleigh Reeves and Malorie Reeves; 14 great-grandchildren Dylan, Darian, Aubrey McConnell, Slader and Blayne McClellan, Adalynn Ward, Alex, Eli, and Jude Abshier, Reagan, Reese, and Ruby Caris Rawls and Titus Cheatham and Aden Powell Brown; numerous nieces and nephews. The family sends a special thank you to her caregivers, Hazel Hite, Debbie Burleson, Jackie Hughes, Missy Trentham and her many doctors that are too numerous to mention. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6-7 p.m. at Luginbuel Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, May 7, 2015, 1 p.m. at Liberty Baptist Church in Dutch Mills. Burial will be in Bethesda Cemetery, there will be no graveside services held at the cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Liberty Baptist Church Kitchen Fund, 22358 Dutch Mills Rd., Lincoln, Arkansas 72744. Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Brad Cheatham, Justin Danforth, Cody Reeves, Dylan McConnell, Landon Reeves, Hudson Reeves, Slader McClellan and Blayne McClellan. The family would like to express their appreciation for the selfless act of an organ donor that gave them 16 precious years with their loved one.
