Norman James Phillips, 64, of Garfield, died Friday, May 1 at the VA Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born Aug. 4, 1950 in Pawhuska, Okla. to Alfred James Phillips and Agnes Mayo Phillips. He was a HVAC Technician working for Morning Star Heating and Air in Bentonville for 19 years. He worked on an oil rig in Oklahoma and was a "car junky". He was Sergeant in the US Army serving in Okinawa and was a Baptist. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Dennis Boyer. Survivors are his wife, Kimberly Deniese Phillips of the home; eight sons: Alan Phillips of Ponca City, Okla., Michael Phillips of Texas, David, Harley, Makiah Kassing of Garfield, Christopher Kizzia and wife, Natalie of Braggs, Okla., William Walker of Tahlequah, Okla., and Timmy Hamby of Bentonville; five daughters: Melissa Dozier and husband, Josh of California, Tearra White and husband, James of Lincoln, Cassandra Howle of Tahlequeh, Okla., Heaven and Destiny Kassing of Garfield; two brothers, Dale McNally and wife Brenda of Fairfax, Okla., Dewayne Ramsey of Stillwater, Okla.; a sister, Patsy Phillips of Fairfax, Okla.; 17 grandchildren; and three nephews: Jeremy McNally and wife Cassandra, Josh, and Wade McNally. Graveside services are set for 10 a.m., Thursday, May 7 at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Garfield with Pastor Paul Bryant and Pastor Stewart Bell officiating. Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, May 6 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Rd.
