Nellie M Coates

Nellie M. Coates, 98, of Bentonville, passed away at Bradford House April 29, 2015. She was born to Harry E. and Ethel M. (Ziegler) Hafka on February 15, 1917. Nellie married Marlin Coates on October 21, 1937. She was preceded in death by Marlin on March 20, 1968; her parents and two sisters. She is survived by her daughters, Karen Makinster (Jim Van Horn, significant other) of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Marlys Petersen (Jim) of Bella Vista, Ark.; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. A Committal service will be held in Waterloo, Iowa at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gardens at Osage Terrace, 3317 S.E. L Street, Bentonville, Ark. 72712.
