Dorothy J. Taylor, 81, passed away on April 29, 2015 in Bentonville. She was born on April 9, 1934 in Hollywood, Missouri to the late William T. and Cynthia Altie (Hudson) Evans. She was the wife of the late Elton Harvey Taylor, whom she married in 1948. She was formerly of Poplar Bluff and Kennett, Missouri and moved to Rogers in 1968. Dorothy was a seamstress and homemaker, who occasionally volunteered at the Salvation Army in Rogers. Dorothy is survived by her son, Harvey "Jack" Taylor and his wife, Lola of Rogers; two daughters, Patricia Holcomb and her husband, Teddy of Rogers, and Judy Castor and her husband, Dan of Jackson, Wyoming; grandchildren, Jennifer Patterson (Jamie) of Willow Park, Texas, Kyle Castor (Kristal) of Elm Springs, Arkansas, Kerry Castor (Nicole) of Springdale, Arkansas, Kory Castor of Elkins, Arkansas, DeWayne Taylor (Brooke) of Garfield, Arkansas, Kinsey Jacobs (Mitch ) of Eagle River, Alaska, Taylor Holcomb of Rogers, Arkansas; great-grandchildren, Ashton Patterson, Emma Patterson, Kenzie Castor, Kylie Jo Castor, Keller Castor, Kace Castor, Marley Castor, Kory Castor II, Bailey Taylor, Hannah Taylor, and Makayla Jacobs; in-laws, Garland Tripp of Missouri, Doris Evans of Missouri, Jerry Taylor (Kathryn) of Arkansas, Tom Taylor of Missouri, Mary Battles (Larry) of Tennessee and Maxine Taylor of Arkansas. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, William "Bill" Evans, Herman Evans, Gladys McGowen, Ruby Hyde, Ruth Schanda, Anna Mae Cato, Pauline Tripp, and Francis Evans; and a great-granddaughter, Kenna A Castor. Visitation will be on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel from 5 until 7 p.m. A funeral service will be on Monday at 11 a.m. in the Rollins Chapel with burial to follow at Benton County Memorial Park.
