Linda Jean Darden

Linda Jean Darden, 73, of Fort Smith, Ark., passed away on March 25, 2015 in her home. She was born on May 23, 1941 in Lowell, Ark. to Floyd and Hazel (Pool) Ford. She was retired from Roadway Express and was a member of Community Bible Church, a former Girl Scout Leader and a member of the Teamsters Union. Linda was a two time breast cancer survivor and participated in numerous cancer survivor fund raisers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Ray Darden and a sister, Louise Lockhart. She is survived by her two daughters, Robin Lensing and her husband Glen and Audra Bobbitt and her husband Chris both of Fort Smith, Ark.; one sister, Marianne Haddock of Springdale, Ark.; one brother, Bob Ford of Webb City, Mo.; four grandchildren, Ashley and Kristy Lensing, Eric Vicencio and Brandon Lemus all of Fort Smith, Ark.; several stepchildren including Terri Wilson and several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A family held memorial service will be at a later date, cremation is under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Ark.
