June Junko Nishimoto Droullard

June Junko Nishimoto Droullard, a long-time resident of Rogers, passed away Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015, after a lengthy illness battling severe rheumatoid arthritis. She was born on June 25, 1940, in the sugar plantation town of Hakalau, Hawaii, the daughter of Junichi Nishimoto and Yukimi (Peggy) Nishimoto. She attended Hakalau Elementary and Intermediate School and graduated from Hilo High School. June continued her education at a commercial school in Hilo. Her professional career began with a position at the Voice of America relay station in Maili, Hawaii and eventually she moved to the Washington D.C. area to continue her chosen career path. June was united in marriage to Maurice E. Droullard on June 25, 1979 in Chino Valley, Ariz. They were married for 27 blissful years. June loved gardening, cooking, oil painting and taking extraordinary care of Maurice. June is survived by her siblings, Paul Nishimoto, Earl Nishimoto (Amy) and Carol Tsuruda (Warren); stepchildren, Donna Klungle (Robert), Steven Droullard (Gayle), John Droullard (Peggy); grandchildren, Jeanine, Amber, Jennifer, John Jr.; and five great-grandchildren, Taylor, Joshua, Rosie, Benjamin, Adam, Leah. Memorial Service for June Junko Nishimoto Droullard, a long-time resident of Rogers will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at Rollins Funeral Home, 1401 W. Hudson Road, in Rogers. Her urn will be placed with her parents at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Alae Cemetary, Hilo, Hawaii.
