Stacy Lynn Duckett, 50, of North Little Rock, passed away at home, March 20, 2015, surrounded by her family and friends. She was born on June 20, 1964, in Searcy, Arkansas, to James M. and Cherry Lynn Lubker Duckett. Stacy graduated from Parkview High School in 1982. While she was in high school, she began working for TCBY at its very first store "pumping yogurt," and was the first employee who was not a member of the Frank Hickingbotham family. She attended the second Arkansas Governor's School, where lifelong friends were made. After she received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hendrix College in 1986, Stacy joined TCBY at its corporate headquarters and eventually became vice president and assistant general counsel for TCBY Enterprises, Inc. Following in her father's footsteps, she completed her Juris Doctorate in law at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 1994, while working full time. In 1999, Stacy was recognized as one of Arkansas Business's "40 Under 40." When TCBY was purchased by Mrs. Fields in 2000, Stacy made the decision to stay in Little Rock and joined Southwest Power Pool as an attorney in the transmission and regulatory policy group. She also served as director of corporate affairs and general counsel prior to being named vice president, chief compliance officer and corporate secretary. Additionally, she completed the advanced management program at Northwestern University in 2010. A tireless community volunteer, Stacy supported numerous non-profit organizations financially and with her time. She chaired and served on the boards of CareLink, Heart of Arkansas United Way, Youth Home, Hendrix College Alumni Association Board of Governors, and the Arkansas Track and Field Hall of Fame. She was an avid Razorback supporter, as well as a member of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Trojan Basketball Foundation and the Arkansas chapter for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Stacy was also a longtime and active member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where she served on and chaired several committees, including the administrative board and board of trustees. She also sang in the choir and taught Sunday school. Along with her generous spirit, Stacy had a quick and infectious smile, as well as a bit of sass and directness. She dearly loved her family, treasured her many friends, and was devoted to her godchildren. She deeply touched countless lives and would do anything for the people she loved and often for those she didn't even know. Stacy was an avid traveler and also enjoyed spoiling her pets, collecting artwork, entertaining friends, and calling the Hogs. Stacy was preceded in death by her grandparents, Herman L. and Cherry I. Lubker, Bald Knob; James S. Duckett, Pine Bluff; and James K. and Bureata Duckett Harper, Pine Bluff. She is survived by her parents, Jim and Cherry Duckett, Little Rock; her brother, Scott Lubker Duckett, Little Rock; her aunt and uncle, Ann (Mike) Fitzhugh, Fort Smith; and her cousins, Jason (Jenni) Fizthugh, Ashley (Brian) Ahlert, and Alex (Brittni) Fitzhugh and several great nieces and great nephews and extended family. Also missing her greatly are her pets Honey and Slick. Stacy received excellent care from her care team at UAMS, led by Dr. Shirley Ong and APN Amanda Eubanks, Dr. John D. Day, and Dr. Mathew Hardee. Her home care team of Deborah Truitt, Cammeal Swanigan, Fay Williams-Kidd, and Raven Justice gave her excellent care and lots of love. Stacy's team also included Hospice Home Care nurses Sara Stewart and Cedric Williams and aide Cindy Robinson. A special thank you to Jo Smith who was there whenever and wherever she was needed. The family appreciates each of them for the care, compassion and support they provided. Visitation will be held at Ruebel Funeral Home on Thursday, March 26, 2015 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1101 North Mississippi, Little Rock, on Friday, March 27, 2015 at 2 p.m. officiated by Rev.
