Harold Dean Scott

Harold Dean Scott, 73 year old, former Grove resident, passed away Wednesday March 11, 2015 at the Fayetteville, Arkansas Veterans Medical Center. He was born on June 26, 1941 in Vinita to Hugh and Mary Ethel (Copeland) Scott. After high school he went into the United States Army from July of 1960 to June of 1963. Harold later worked for Boeing Aircraft in Wichita, before becoming disabled. He moved from Wichita to the Grove area where he lived for over 20 years, until his health forced him into a care facility. Harold enjoyed fishing and being with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Todd Scott, and his longtime companion, Darlene Luttrell. The family includes; his son, Randy Scott of Asheboro, North Carolina, a brother, Eddie Scott and wife Candy of Lowell, Arkansas; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita, Oklahoma. The graveside service will be held on Monday, March 16, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the Martin Cemetery near Centralia, with Pastor Henry "Skip" McClain officiating.
