Thomas Claude Dorse, 74, of Elkins, Ark. (formerly of Muskogee & Wagoner, Okla. area) passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015 in Fayetteville, Ark. Thomas was born in Buck Creek, Okla. to John Ather & Mausolean (Thomas) Dorse on December 14, 1940. He had suffered with cancer for over three years. Tom was a barber at Oak Plaza Barber Shop in Fayetteville, Ark. where he worked until three weeks before his death. He was a very strong person. He was there for the last 21 years and had many friends there. Before that he was a barber at Millington Navy Base in Tennessee where he retired after 23 years. He married Mary Kay Randall in Wagoner, Okla. where he attended school and that marriage resulted in two children, Randy Dorse and Dianna Dorse. Later in life he married Alma Tubat which resulted in two more children, Lindsey & John Thomas Dorse. He also leaves behind grandchildren, great-grandchildren; his mother; sister, Caryle Athalean Dorse Rorex and two special nephews, Rob White and Rick Anderson along with many other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his dad John Ather Dorse; brother, Ather Dorse and grandparents, Claude and Ola Thomas. There will be a graveside service at 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 11 at Oakland Cemetery, Pavilion, Poteau, Okla. with Rev. John Parish officiating.
