Lucille Cowan, age 95, of Lincoln, went to be with her Lord on March 5, 2015 in Fayetteville. She was born Jan. 5, 1920 in Lead Hill, Ark., the daughter of William Thomas and Caldonia Stokes Raley. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Lincoln; loved watching basketball, crocheting, gardening, bowling in past years; and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a former co-owner of Cowan Insurance Agency in Springdale and served with the Springdale Police Department for nine years. She worked at Grace Place for 14 years in her ministry for the Lord. She is preceded by her husband, Jack Cowan, who died in 1999, her parents, two brothers, and three sisters. Mrs. Cowan is survived by two daughters: Jackie Risley and her husband, Jack, of Lincoln and Christie Johnson and her husband, Greg, of Farmington; four grandchildren: Jennifer Hughes, Lisa Lee, Kim Velasques, and Cody Johnson; seven great-grandchildren: Trey May, Raley May, Candance Hughes, Reis Reed, Embree Lee, Mateo Velasques, and Eva Velasques. Funeral service will be Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Lincoln with Rev. Randy Magar officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Burial will be at 3 p.m. at Maplewood Cemetery in Harrison under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home.
