Martha Louise Fontana

Martha Louise Fontana passed away on March 6, 2015 in the care of Bradford House and Circle of Life Hospice after a long illness. She was born Martha Louise Kline on Jan. 4, 1932 in Logan, Ohio to John and Grace Kline. She spent most of her life in Columbus, Ohio. In her early twenties, she met and married Robert Philip Fontana. They later divorced. While raising three children as a single mother, she worked for many years in the tax department for the City of Columbus and also at a second job, waiting tables at the Carousel Lounge. At times she picked up a third job just to provide for her children. She retired and moved to Arkansas in 2005. She spent many of her last years volunteering at Helping Hands in Bentonville. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Shirley Mullins. She is survived by sisters, Ruby Rice, Linda Hall and Betty Payne; brother Larry Kline; daughters, Vicki Williamson and Brenda Flemming-Studt; son, Michael Fontana; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers is handling arrangements. A public memorial service will be held at a later date in Ohio.
