Sharon Lee Deloy

Sharon Lee (nee: Willingham) Deloy was born May 13, 1933 in Los Angeles, California to Helen (Egan) and William Bernard Willingham, and died peacefully in her sleep on June 10, 2015 at her daughter Vicky's home, after a lengthy illness. Sharon is survived by her children Doug (Maureen), Julie (Don), Vicky (Ron), Becky (Bryan), Valerie (Mike) and Connie. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cherie Russell, her husband Frank Deloy, her long-time companion Bob Buscher, and her sister, Joyce Beaver. Sharon graduated from South Gate High School. She was married to Jack Robbins (1951-1955), with whom she had two children (Doug and Julie) and thereafter to Frank Deloy (from 1956 until his death in 1982), with whom she had five daughters (Vicky, Becky, Cherie, Valerie and Connie). Sharon was a homemaker for many years. She was instrumental in starting the first bridge club in Milpitas and was actively involved in running it. She was an expert gardener and an avid photographer and reader. She was a member of Mensa. Sharon worked for the Milpitas Post, writing a local neighborhood column. She also worked as a real estate agent, and later worked in electronics for several years at Intel, until she retired and relocated to West Fork, Arkansas, where she lived her last 35 years. Three of her children -- Vicky, Cherie and Connie -- moved to Arkansas and lived nearby with their families. In addition to her children, Sharon is survived by her brother, Bruce Willingham; and numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Sharon touched many lives and will be sorely missed.
